GLP-1 agonists are the new frontier for medical weight loss. They are a weekly injection that has helped many people lose up to 15-20% of their body weight AND can assist in weight management long term. GLP-1 agonists are effective, but patience is key to getting the full benefit from this medication. We start you on a low dose and increase it slowly to minimize negative side effects. If you have previously been on a higher dose, you are welcome to submit documentation for review prior to Altru starting you at a higher dose.
If you are eligible for GLP-1 agonists, we offer both prescription for brand name Zepbound or compounded GLP-1 agonists. You have the option for us to send your prescription to a local pharmacy of your choice if using brand name GLP or we can send your prescription to an FDA approved 503a/503b compounding pharmacy we partner with.
*Please note we do not take insurance, we do not do prior authorizations and you are responsible for making sure your local pharmacy has brand name and dose in stock before we send your prescription due to high demand.
