Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website or services of Altru Telehealth, LLC (“Altru,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Description of Services
Altru provides telehealth services, including urgent care consultations, delivered by licensed nurse practitioners. Services are provided only to patients who are physically located, at the time of the visit, in one of the states listed below, in which Altru’s providers hold independent nurse practitioner practice authority. Service availability, scope of care, and applicable regulations vary by state.
States Where We Provide Services
Altru currently provides telehealth services only to patients located in the following nurse practitioner independent practice states: New York, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Florida, Maine, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Utah, New Hampshire, Colorado, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Delaware. You must accurately confirm your physical location at the time of each visit. If you are located outside of these states at the time of your appointment, we will be unable to provide services to you for that encounter.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal consent for medical treatment in your state, to use our services on your own behalf. Use on behalf of a minor requires the involvement of a parent or legal guardian as required by applicable law.
Not for Emergency Use
Altru does not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate in-person emergency care. Do not use our telehealth services in place of emergency care.
Patient Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information about your health history, symptoms, and circumstances. Inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the quality and safety of care provided. You are responsible for following up with in-person care when advised to do so by an Altru provider.
Provider-Patient Relationship
Use of our website alone does not establish a provider-patient relationship. A provider-patient relationship is established only once a licensed provider has reviewed your information and accepted you as a patient for a specific encounter.
Payment and Billing
Fees for services are disclosed prior to your appointment or treatment. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time, with changes applying prospectively.
Compounded Medications
Where clinically appropriate, Altru providers may prescribe compounded medications, which are prepared by FDA-registered compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved branded products. Prescriptions are issued solely at the clinical discretion of the treating provider based on individualized evaluation.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Altru website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of Altru Telehealth, LLC or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altru Telehealth, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services, including reliance on website content or delays in seeking appropriate care.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at our discretion, including in cases of misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Altru Telehealth, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where superseded by the telehealth or healthcare laws of the state in which services are rendered.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
