Chlamydia Exposure

Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the United States, spread through vaginal, anal, or oral sexual contact — and because up to 90% of people have no symptoms, it is frequently transmitted without either partner knowing. You may qualify for same-day telehealth treatment if you have been notified of a partner's positive diagnosis or if you already tested positive with confirmed lab test that will need to be uploaded and need a prescription. Symptoms include unusual discharge, burning with urination, or pelvic pain. Chlamydia is fully curable with a short course of antibiotics, and your provider will select the appropriate medication based on your history — it is important to complete the full course and avoid sexual contact for 7 days after treatment to prevent reinfection. Left untreated, chlamydia can silently cause serious complications including pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and increased HIV risk.
